GST Registration

GST stands Goods and Service Tax. It has been implemented from 1st of July, 2017 bringing Indian indirect tax regime at international standards. It is focused on relieving Industries from following multiple and complex tax structures and bringing them on single tax platform i.e. GST. GST is expected to cut off the current compliances and improving ease of doing business small businesses in India. Under the GST, all entities involved in buying or selling of goods or providing services or both are required to get registered for GST. Although for entities having turnover below the prescribed turnover of Rs. 20 lacs GST registration is not mandatory. Entities which are required to obtain GST registration as per the provisions must file for GST registration within 30 days from the date on which the entity became liable for obtaining GST registration.

Steps for GST Registration

  • Share documents (PAN, Aadhar, Electricity Bill)
  • We will apply on GST portal on your behalf
  • An ARN no. will be received
  • Within next three days, Provisional GST will be received
  • Within next 90 days, Final GST certificate will be received

When Are You Required to Get Registered in GST ?

  • GST Registration on exceeding the threshold limit.

    Entities engaged in supply of taxable goods or services and whose aggregate turnover exceeds the threshold limit 20 lacs/ 10 lacs are required to get registered in GST,

  • Voluntary GST Registration

    Some taxable entities whose aggregate turnover does not exceed the threshold limit are still required to get mandatorily registered in GST, if they satisfy any of the following criteria:
    1. Electronic Commerce Operator such as flipkart, Uber.
    2. Entities supplying goods or services through electronic commerce operators.
    3. Entities making any inter-state taxable supply i.e supplying goods or services from one state to another
    4. Casual taxable entities making taxable supply.
    5. Entities who are required to pay tax under reverse charge.
    6. Non-resident taxable entities making taxable supply.

  • Voluntary GST Registration

    An entity can also voluntarily decide to obtain GST registration to claim the benefit if input tax credit or smooth flow of transactions.

    No, if you are selling exempt items then you are not required to get registered for GST

  • What is composition Scheme?

    Government has provided relief to small traders by giving them a option for composition scheme. Manufacturers and traders have option pay GST at a flat rate of 2 or 1% respectively.

  • What are conditions for composition scheme

    1. You cannot enter in any interstate transaction in case you are registered a composition dealer.
    2. You can opt for the scheme only when your aggregate turnover does not exceed Rs. 75 lacs during the preceding financial year.
    3. You are not eligible to take any input tax credit.
